Queen of Elves!

Edging of first Granny Square Tribute blanket

While writing this title i realised this is not quite the first Granny Square Tribute blanket I've made although definitely the first one I called that way :)
First one was the baby blanket for Oli and second one was BigBrightBlanket if you remember those two :)

BUT the important part Granny Square Tribute blanket has edges! (moss stitch for the win)
and even more important - CORNERS :) two simple ones and two fancy ones - just to stretch my wings and get out my comfort zone where I like to use plain simple and straight borders for my makes :)

So here they come!

As you can see there are two possibilities on how to make your blanket complete - hexagon or rectangle ...

 

I hope by now you already know how to make a heart .. so now you should have to pick the size and shape ..
Next time i'll show you how to join as you go .. and after that there will come at least some heart parts so you could start edging up your blanket (if you are too eager to wait - full pattern pdf is available on Etsy or Ravelry )

p.s. now i'm working on second tinyGrannyHeart blanket and so far i'm thinking it will be rectangle at some point :)

This is a way for you to upgrade your granny square by simply adding a rhomb in this combination :) and you will be able to make a mosaic heart. 

Pattern itself includes bigger coloring page so that you could make different shapes too (like star, flower and more let your creative juices flow ;) ).
