First milk, no carrots, only potatoes ..
Oli's way of bargaining for sweets ... when he promises to eat some amount of real food in exchange for sweets ... he starts this without even knowing if there is something sweet planned after the meal :D
But I am smart enough to tell him that in this case he will have only some part of that particular dessert afterwards .. sometimes that works better than expected and he eats an extra meatball :P

Mommy is mine, Daddy is yours.
This is a way for them to divide their domains. They are dividing everything! :D parents, cousins, friends, cartoons, music :D
Of course it works only till the other one gets offered something better... for both of them dealbreaker is that the other ones parent is taking them somewhere even if it is something really booooooooring :D

That great feeling when you get THAT idea :)
you work, you try this thing out, you probably fail .. and yet the idea is so persistent you can't stop, you have to try out something else to make it, have fun .. and eventually - success!

and yes creative madness is addictive :P

Random rambling: yarnends ...

O my ... NO ..
or that is what I usually think when some project comes to a close...

But not this time, this time I allowed myself the time to weave them in not jet starting the next BIG thing and they seemed to disappear on their own ... as I spent those hours patiently working on hiding them in I found myself wondering about a lot of things ... one of those obviously was what should be the next thing and why ...

Random rambling: happy accident

Last Tuesday night I fell down the stairs ... accidents do happen :(
And I cried a lot because of the pain and my own stupidity and because it seemed to me that every plan I had made for the summer just went poof...
Now a week later - I know it's nothing mayor just few abrasions and bruises ... but it still hurts (not just my pride :D) I still find it impossible to stand on full foot but it is getting better :)

Random rambling: good old fashioned housewife ...

Thank you! To those who read my previous post about money and a few of the friends and family members I called upon that had no Idea I wrote a blog before (well - now they do! :D ). Thank you for supporting me and clicking on those relevant and mainly irrelevant ads ...
but Apparently we all overdid it a bit ... 
And as a result google adsense has suspended my account ...
This means that next time in yarn shop I will have to count pennies and just droll over most of the yarn ... this is the sad part. But I am really grateful to have such a great friends that actually clicked and supported me in my madness of thinking I might earn money with ads :D
So all is good and pretty much back to normal, they (meaning adsense) will eventually sort all those clicks and maybe I even will put them (meaning ads) back on my page .. but for now - it's just me here rambling on (for mostly myself)..

Random rambling: Trial and error

How often do you try to reinvent the wheel?

Just think about it for a moment ...

I love making something special! Something my own. just yesterday I tried to make a slouchy hat in granny (square?) style ... well by mistake of adding to much stitches in the beginning I actually made a fitting hat :D and thank god I love it and I am going to wear it :)
Will write a post about that bit later .. actually now I wanted to write about my latest crochet obsession Honey Comb Variations as I call them :)
I spent almost two weeks crocheting and frogging and crocheting and throwing aside and crocheting and frogging and ... well you get the point ... I loved the process of creation even thou there were times I was frustrated and angry and I thought it is impossible to make what I had envisioned ... and then after a while it just worked! And when the pieces just happened to fit together i was startled and had to pause for two days just to believe that it really actually works :)
Now I am procrastinating with the pattern writing and I can't decide how thorough it should be ...

This is just a tip of the iceberg of all the half done not just there yet crochet pieces ...
And further is more revealing photo of what is this all about although I think the name Honey Comb Variations says it all ...

And are old enough to know how to take off your clothes ... easy game till mom figures out a solution and "help" you wear something that is hard to get out of .. it works for about a week and then you have grown and can outsmart her again - pee in your pants and mom will have no choice but to help you undress ... (evilgrin)

When this happens after what seems as an eternity spent trying to dress up that screaming monster I just want to cry ... thank god most of the times we are not in hurry to get somewhere so its just frustrating for me.

* drawing is easy!
especialy when all of the drawing is done by the grownup .. "please draw me a car, tractor, airplane, helicopter ... flower, tree, house ... pig, cow, bunny ... " after you have listened to your mom about hundred times why you should draw at least some of the stuff yourself just keep repeating previous sentence and after a while you can easily say just "NO, you!" and pictures will appear as if from nowhere!

Random rambling: Cosy living

So far I have been apartment person ... I have lived in quite a few apartments I have loved and called my home ..
Now that we have been living in our new old house about 3 months now I can honestly say - I am a house person ... and we all are hopeful to be able to stay here throughout the winter as well. (heating might be a problem)

Random rambling: Sleep

I have been a bit sleep deprived lately and I can't say that before kids it was much better .. because going to sleep early always seemed such a waste of time ..
I wonder why?

Well it was a bit better - I could afford to sleep just 5 hours some nights and then enjoy longer 10 or 12 hour undisturbed night sleep occasionally .. now my two little angels are playing tricks and it doesn't seem possible in the near future ..

Few years ago I heard there are some other sleeping patterns than the most used 8h night in every 24 hours ... but I discarded it then because it seemed hard to implement .. but now living with average 6h of disturbed sleep daily it seems rather intriguing to sleep even less but feel better...

Random rambling: Food

I have recently rejoined caloriecount to observe the things I eat and are they any good for me and my goal to loose few kilos ... and man! I knew I had a sweet tooth but OMG! if I am being my usual "IeateverythingIsee" self, then more than a half of my daily calorie intake consist of sugars and sweet things!!!
I will keep on blabbing here about my latest obsession of food logging and goals in this direction for future self... so better go on crochet something ;)

Introducing new thing around here - Random rambling.

As the name suggests it really will be about random stuff that bothers me or makes me think about life in general or my kids, future, politics, my fears and everything else that's good or badly wrong in world at the time I find the time for checking out the virtual reality...
So this will be a place for me to vent.
