Market bag

Based on pattern Mountaintop :)
pdf available on etsy and ravelry.

I've used up leftover bits from my mandalas and worked in rounds instead of rows.

Recipe for mountain tops:

If you would fold this piece in the middle you would see that each valley has it's peak on the opposite side – so at the end when we fold montaintops using flat zipper method ;)

For our Mountaintop market bag we would need to make 379 foundation ch!
Here is topography and ch division for each tiny part.

Same with more words (read the table from right to left)

Cast on 17 fch for size 2 slope. One fch for mountains peak (you could put that stitch marker here ;)). Next 17 fch for size 2 slope. Next 12 fch are for valley (one or two stitch markers to tag it). Next 25 fch for for size 3 slope. One fch for mountains peak. Next 33 fch for size 4 slope. Next 12 fch are for valley. Next 17 fch for size 2 slope. One fch for mountains peak. Next 25 fch for for size 3 slope. Next 12 fch are for valley. Next 33 fch for size 4 slope. One fch for mountains peak. Next 25 fch for size 2 slope. Next 12 fch are for valley. Next 17 fch for for size 2 slope. One fch for mountains peak. Next 33 fch for size 4 slope. Next 12 fch are for valley. Next 25 fch for size 3 slope. One fch for mountains peak. Next 17 fch for for size 2 slope. Next 12 fch are for valley. Next 17 fch for size 2 slope.

And then join to the beginning with sl st and start the first round. So our first and last slopes get combined in one 4 size slope.

If you start with same yarn: Sc, ch 3 (acts as first dc and ch 1).

For first row I used same yarn as for fch, but most of the times I used new yarn for each row.

Use chapter simple rules and pictures on page 11 of your pdf or my youtube videos to make the mountaintops, valleys and slopes ;)

Also - for the strap - I used same yarn to make a loong set of chains and then put them on mountaintops. I left everything adjustable so that it is easier to use it ;)
And for the part of strap that will go over my shoulder I added few rows of sc for convenience.

 Happy crafting ;)
