It's been a minute ..

Hi guys!

it's been a minute .. I've been doing sooooo much of the designing and writing and crocheting that somehow blog has fallen through the cracks and I am not here to tell that it will be different from now - most probably that will stay the same :) I might pop in to say something new .. and I might not ..

Also!

I just wanted to let you know that I'm doing most of my venting and blogging about crochet related stuff on patreon now so please join me there :)

And I'm still loving instagram and sometimes I'm posting daily and sometimes just 2 times a month .. life happens - and as always - it's fun to see my people join in ;)

so .. hope to see you there and have fun crocheting up a storm!

P.S. my latest obsession - Daisy bloom! fun tiny triangles with daisy flower in the middle! just adorable :)

I shared this pattern with my besties on patreon last month (yes - they do recieve everything a bit earlier than anyone else) and today is the day I share it with everyone else so go to ravelry or etsy and get your copy of the pattern ;)

Pattern release: Arnica mandala

First mandala of the year is here :) I started this one when all our snow melted and left us in dark, damp sadness and I just wished so much for the spring, sunshine and warmth to come sooner that Arnica bloom came to life.

Get it on etsy, ravelry and patreon.

Arnica mandala is smaller than my usual mandalas, just 21 cm and I figure it could be stretched to fit 25cm hoop that I hope to test as soon as I get my new hoops. I use 3,5mm hook and Alize Bella batik design yarn (for those of you who are not familiar with this one - it’s sport weight yarn).

Pattern release: Ripple Effect Mandala

Get your pdf on etsy or ravelry! ;)

***

Ripple effect mandala is the mandala I worked on all summer .. it went with me and the kids to the playgrounds and seaside .. on shorter and longer adventures with family and friends .. mine as well as their .. for me it embodies and all the happy places we managed to visit this summer :)

As with all the things that take time - it is good to know what you are trying to achieve - so with first stitches I decided it should look like a giant flower. And I took it with me and worked on it whenever I could..

The name Ripple Effect came to me when I was looking at it half way done and thinking whether or not I should finish it (because I got stuck .. as it sometimes happens to everyone) and it hit me - even though everything repeats (and might get boring at times) it is never quite the same if we keep on going so I persevered .. & it bloomed just wonderfully ..
what I wanted to say - yes it is possible to find the happiness in mundane tasks or to find the twist that makes those things special :) like going to the playground for 100th time that week .. :D
