Letter of the week: X and Y

First in mind comes chromosomes and then about a nanosecond later algebra :D

Aaaaaand these are the last letters to complete alphabet! woooohoooo! full alphabet with links to all the letters coming soon ;)

1st part (aka, pattern for slash :D ):
Row 1: Ch4, sc on second ch from hook, hdc in next st, dc in next st. Turn.
Row 2: Ch 2, on same (and next) st dc2tog, dc. Turn.
Repeat second row 10 times.
Row 13: Ch 2, dc&hdc tog (dc in same st hdc in next), sc.
Fasten off.
(part 1 consists of 13 rows)
2nd part to form Y pattern:
Row 1: pull yarn through space between 7th & 8th rows of first part (aka slash). Ch 1. Sc, dc, tr (worked on dc of first parts 7th row). Turn.
Row 2: Ch 2, on same (and next) st dc2tog, dc. Turn.
Repeat second row 3 times.
Row 6: Ch 2, dc&hdc tog (dc in same st hdc in next), sc.
Fasten off.
(part 2 consists of 6 rows)
(overall letter Y consists of 19 rows)

3rd part to form letter X pattern:
Row 1: pull yarn through space between 5th & 6th rows of first part (aka slash). Ch 1. Sc, dc, tr (worked on dc of first parts 6th row). Turn.
Row 2: Ch 2, on same (and next) st dc2tog, dc. Turn.
Repeat second row 2 times.
Row 5: Ch 1, sc in same st, hdc, dc.
Fasten off.
(part 3 consists of 5 rows)
(overall letter X consists of 24 rows)
